The Home (2025)

Years after leaving his small hometown behind, Joel returns to assist his mother Monika in relocating to a senior care facility. Monika, who is battling dementia, faces a sudden decline in health shortly after her move. She is plagued by frightening visions of her late husband—Joel’s abusive father—and begins to display aggressive and violent behaviors. Joel becomes convinced that a sinister, supernatural force has taken hold of his mother. However, given his own history of substance abuse and mental health struggles, he questions whether his perceptions are reliable. As Monika’s memories continue to fade, Joel is forced to confront his own buried past, confronting the personal demons stirred up by his return to the place where his life began.
