Anu regularly works with Heloisa in her practice, observing how, whenever Heloisa falls in love, she becomes consumed by intense, tormenting obsessions directed toward her beloved. Heloisa's complex and disturbed psyche captivates Anu both professionally and personally, though she struggles to fully understand why. Suddenly, Heloisa ceases her therapy sessions without warning. During a midsummer celebration with friends, Anu’s world is turned upside down when her son, Antti, arrives accompanied by his new girlfriend—who happens to be Heloisa. Confronted with this unexpected encounter, Anu is compelled to face her own emotional boundaries and the haunting memories of her therapeutic relationship with Heloisa. These memories unveil a deeply obsessive connection between them that threatens to unravel everything she holds dear.
