Kantara (2022)

Shiva, a wandering tribal youth, resides with his mother in a small village, deliberately distancing himself from the customary Daivaradhane and Bhoota Kola traditions following a traumatic event in his childhood. Content with spending his days idly alongside friends and taking on minor tasks for the local landlord, Shiva’s life takes a turn when Forest Officer Murali arrives. Murali’s presence introduces a new layer to the ongoing struggle between humans and nature. Will Shiva rise to protect the forest from Murali’s plans, or is Murali merely a pawn in a larger, more complex scheme?
