G-Day (2025)

June 1944: Europe is engulfed in the chaos of war as preparations for the Normandy landings reach their peak. Denis Porte diligently carries out his daily duties at a British military base—though it’s all an elaborate ruse. His true mission involves relocating fake soldiers each day to mislead the enemy. In the Porte family, bravery runs deep, with fathers and sons having fallen heroically for France. For this reason, Porte refuses to take any real risks that might upset his mother; managing a fictitious base is the most danger she’ll permit. However, after meeting Sami, an Algerian doctor with dreams of meeting De Gaulle, the two decide, over a few drinks, to join the real fight. Courageously—and a little intoxicated—they set off, only to realize they’ve got the wrong date and place for the invasion. Add to this a reluctant hero who shies away from danger, and you have a near-D-Day adventure filled with unexpected twists.
